Mildreds, Kings Cross, London (4 branches around London)

Nearest Train station 🚂 : Kings Cross/ St Pancras

A vegan/ vegetarian restaurant (predominately vegan) based in 4 locations around London. Unfortunately you cannot book on groups smaller than 10 so we waited an hour for our table of 4. So some may ask,Was it worth the wait?

The menu has a lot of variety however, I felt the menu is quite bitty as it has different dishes of different cuisines on one menu so its quite hard to share food as the different meals don’t compliment each other.

Overall, I liked the atmosphere and the staff were great, but having waited an hour for our table I wasn’t overly impressed with our food.
In fact, the starters/small plates were the nicest part of the meal.

Picture 1:  my favourite dish

Pizzetta with buffalo mozzarella, black truffle and chestnut mushroom.

Picture 2:  My second favourite dish.

Pan-fried Manouri cheese with roasted black grapes, walnuts, baby kale, pomegranate molasses.

Picture 3:

Southern deep-fried vegan buttermilk and polenta mock chicken with red cabbage, maple coleslaw, sweet potato fries and smoked chipotle dip – vegan
Picture 5:

wood roasted mushroom and ale pie, with minted mushy peas and fries (with mash instead) -vegan

Picture 6:

vanilla ice cream warm black forest chocolate sauce -vegan

Additional info: Mildreds is one of the many London restaurants working with @streetsmartuk where an optional £1 wass added to the bill in November and December. This money wass then donated to reputable charities that help the homeless.
