Dans Le Noir?
Dans Le Noir? , Clerkenwell, London ~
Nearest train 🚂 station: Farringdon / Chancery Lane
A unique dining experience set in a restaurant of pitch darkness where your waiters are also visually impaired. It lets you experience the day to day life of someone who is visually impaired prompting you to use your other senses. ~
Unfortunately, no pictures of food this time as we were in complete darkness. It was revealed to us afterwards but it wouldn’t be fair to share pictures. However, from my experience this is something everyone should try at least once. I’m scared of the dark but our waiter made me feel relaxed and made sure I was comfortable throughout, thanks Adara!
Prior to entering the restaurant you choose which colour menu you would like to try e.g
– The White Menu: A completely surprise menu.
– The Red Menu: Meat based dishes 🍗
– The Blue Menu: Pescatarian 🐟
– The Green Menu: The completely vegetarian menu 🍆🌽🍠🥒🥖 (they also cater for vegans!)
I’ve always wanted to try dining at Dans le Noir? But was apprehensive the vegetarian menu would be disappointing but on the contrary I enjoyed all three courses!
The experience itself is costs more then your average meal, and there are a variety of options you can try but I would recommend trying all three courses (£54/ per person not including service or drinks)
Would I go again? Definitely, the menu changes every three months and if you’ve been recently you can advice the team and they will make sure your menu is different.
Value for money: 💰💰💰💰💰 (pricey but worth the experience)
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
